Located on the same lot as an existing 1920 craftsman house, the new structure is mean to be sensible to its past and create a relationship to its immediate context.

The design presents three new living units, each unit located on a different floor with large openings to maximize and frame views on an a small interior lot adjacent to an alley. 

The new building is contemporary in shape, however reclaimed exterior doors, door knobs and furniture were utilized in an effort to preserve the existing language and to reconnect with its history.
